Nappies

To many people, the phrase "cloth nappies" conjures images of the large terry squares commonly used as diapers in Europe. In fact, the word "nappies" is increasingly being used here at home in the U.S., and can be used to refer to any kind of cloth diaper: prefold, fitted or all-in-ones, where the nappy cover is incorporated over the nappy.

Different people prefer different nappy systems. You may prefer the snug fit of fitted nappies, or the greater economy of prefolds. Remember that with prefold and fitted nappies, you'll need a cover to prevent moisture from escaping.

Then again, if your budget is a little larger, you may prefer to consider all-in-ones. Indeed, if you want the easiest system of all, Blue Penguin's all-in-one diapers might be the perfect solution. Because the nappy cover, or waterproof outer layer, is attached to the nappy itself, all you need to do is snap off the entire garment and slip a new one on. The cover is made of durable waterproof fabric that can be washed in hot water so that the nappies stay fresh and look great.

You can find a complete range of cloth nappies on the Blue Penguin site; just be prepared to find them referred to as diapers. They're one and the same thing. If you're not sure which system is best for you, take a look at their tryout package deals, which will give you first-hand experience on which to base your final decision.
